Suck my dick

This installation was made especially for the documentary “Pose ma bombe” by Elodie Sylvain and Charlotte Ricou.

So why “Suck my dick”?

I strongly oppose a distinction, or promotion, of the notion of “woman artist”. I am regularly offered to participate in exclusively women exhibitions … However, the organization of purely masculine events would be decried.
So why are we persisting in proposing an equivalent for women?
It is to encourage even more the fact of applying a distinction of treatment between the two sexes.
One should be recognized first and foremost by what one does, not because one is a woman.

I like the absurdity that comes when a woman pronounces these words and I particularly appreciate the contrast that this installation between bright colors and the use of paper (which is a fragile and soft material) and the use of big words.
So, sometimes allowing me the representation of big words, such as “Suck my dick”, I am amused to shock a little to return to the joke at the origin of my practice.
